SMS Terms & Conditions
Souls to the Polls WI SMS Terms & Conditions
These SMS Terms and Conditions govern the text-messaging program operated by Souls to the Polls Wisconsin (“Souls to the Polls,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By voluntarily opting in, you agree to receive text messages in accordance with these terms.
1. Program Description
Souls to the Polls Wisconsin offers the following optional text-message categories:
Informational messages: These messages may include nonpartisan voting information, election reminders, voter-education resources, event updates, transportation information, volunteer opportunities, and other opportunities to participate.
Fundraising and promotional messages: If you separately consent to this category, these messages may include fundraising appeals, donation opportunities, campaign announcements, promotional updates, and other ways to support Souls to the Polls Wisconsin.
Consent to one category does not automatically constitute consent to the other.
2. How to Opt In
You may opt in by providing your mobile phone number and selecting one or more separate SMS consent options on an authorized Souls to the Polls Wisconsin signup form or through another clearly disclosed opt-in method.
Providing a mobile phone number by itself does not constitute consent. SMS consent is voluntary and is not a condition of receiving services, attending events, volunteering, obtaining voting information, or otherwise participating with Souls to the Polls Wisconsin.
By opting in, you confirm that you are the subscriber or customary user of the mobile number provided and that you are authorized to enroll that number.
3. Message Frequency
Message frequency varies depending on elections, events, organizational activities, and the categories you select. Message frequency may increase near voter-registration deadlines, early-voting periods, elections, events, or fundraising campaigns.
Souls to the Polls Wisconsin does not guarantee that every message will be delivered.
4. Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile service plan. Souls to the Polls Wisconsin does not charge a separate fee for participating in its SMS program. Contact your wireless provider with questions about your text or data plan.
5. How to Opt Out
You may withdraw your consent and stop receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP to a message from Souls to the Polls Wisconsin.
After you submit an opt-out request, you may receive a confirmation that you have been unsubscribed. You will no longer receive recurring text messages from that number unless you subsequently provide new consent.
A STOP request will generally unsubscribe your number from all Souls to the Polls Wisconsin text-message categories. You may also revoke consent using another reasonable method, including contacting us directly through our website.
6. Help and Support
For assistance, reply HELP to a text message from Souls to the Polls Wisconsin or contact us at:

7. Privacy and Mobile Information
We collect and use mobile information as described in our Privacy Policy:
https://www.soulstothepollswi.org/privacy-policy
We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in information, or SMS consent records with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
We may disclose mobile information to service providers that help us operate and deliver our text-messaging program, but only as necessary for them to provide services on our behalf. Text-message originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
8. Wireless-Carrier Disclaimer
Wireless carriers are not responsible for delayed, undelivered, or misdirected messages. Message delivery is subject to effective transmission by your wireless carrier and is outside the complete control of Souls to the Polls Wisconsin.
Participation may not be available through every carrier or on every mobile device.
9. Changing or Reassigning Your Number
If you change, deactivate, transfer, or relinquish the mobile number enrolled in our program, please opt out or notify us before discontinuing use of that number. This helps prevent messages intended for you from being sent to a person who later receives the number.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these SMS Terms and Conditions periodically. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Material changes will apply prospectively as required by applicable law.
Your continued participation after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms to the extent permitted by law. If you do not agree with an update, you may opt out by replying STOP.
